Happy Birthday Avery!

My Avery is 2 years old!
She woke up to a house full of balloons,

and then G Larsens and G Cook showed up!
After a smathering of sunscreen and kisses, she donned her swimsuit and spent the morning playing at the park.

A quick birthday hug from Piper...

Then our favorite neighbors (who moved away, boo) came to borrow some left over Zofran (yay Laura!).
Just like old times at the rainbow park.

Grandpa turned the water on full blast and ran with Avery through it.
Brrrrr that water is chilly.

pizza and presents...

If you think Piper came to this party, you're crazy.

But our favorite cousin Sammy was there!

cheesecake...Pablo...standing there in awe while we sing to her...

...more balloons. Have I ever told you about how much she loves balloons? She does.

One tired little birthday girl. She fell asleep on the couch while watching her new Backyardigans video.
I love my 2 year old with all my heart.

Cherry Baby Reunion

It's that time of the year again!
They were a little shy at first, but sweet Audrey broke the ice by telling Avery what a cute swim suit she had on.
You may recall, all of us in the primary presidency had baby girls...

Then last year we took their pictures at the one year mark...

And look at them now!
Two years later, cute as ever.

Audrey, Laila, Avery, and Callie

Amanda is about to have her third baby any minute.

Bath Time

Remember when Evan hated bath time?
Remember when you had to bathe him with one hand because he was too small for the tub?

Now he loves his baths. He totally kicks his legs and splashes around.
And he fills out the whole tub.

Mmmmm...clean, snuggly baby.

insectlore.com

We got these little babies in the mail a few weeks ago. I was kind of bummed that they were so small.

I've read The Very Hungry Caterpillar many times. I should have known they would get bigger. Duh.
They tripled in size like every two hours.
Amazing. Disgusting.

Time for a change.
This was the weirdest part. I would watch them hang upside down, and suddenly their hairy bodies got hard and shell-y. I don't know how it happens, but mother nature is a mad scientist.

Chrysallids.
Creepy.

Finally the butterflies emerge. Did you know blood drips from their wings when they first come out?
I was grossed out all day.

Time to get rid of them. I mean, let them fly free.
Avery waved and yelled "bye!"
Evan sat there blinking in the breeze.

Piper killed one that was having a hard time flying away.

The Best LOST Party Ever

Claire (comb your hair already), the smoke monster, Juliet, Dharma worker, Rousseau, Frank, Dharma security, Richard, and Dr. Chang all came to the LOST party.
Hurley showed up later in the night.
Bummer that Jimi doesn't watch LOST, but someone had to stay home with the kids!

Trevor put on some mascara, and...WA LA...Richard Alpert.
Anyone else distracted by that guy's eyes on the show? I know he's a Spaniard, but come on. They've got to be enhanced with some kind of eye liner.

A while ago, Tiffany was on the game show "Let's Make a Deal", and she WON a private gourmet chef for the night.
And she shared it with this Oceanic 10. Yum. So much food...

Look at all the details...

Dharma food,

place settings

polar bear biscuits,

Who is behind all this LOST obsession party throwing you ask?
Tiffany!
(I mean, Dr. Chang)

Post Edit: Since I can't eloquently describe how I feel about the show in general or if I liked the finale, I present you this link to Ken Jennings' take on it all. Because I agree with him.
At least the party didn't let me down because I was quite disappointed by the finale.

The Pout

I have been trying forever to get a picture of Evan's pout.
When he gets sad, he sticks that bottom lip out so far, it melts my little heart.
Don't be sad, Evan.
