I hate blogger so much I had so much written and then it didn't publish and it just wiped out everything and I typed forever and now it's all gone.
So this is the stupid second version of this dumb post and I'm not even going to edit it, so you get what you get and I'm so mad.
This dumb week in October was awesome and I loved it but I hate blogger.
Wednesday we learned about cars. The hood was open and we stood around it and it was warm because the engine was warm.
I hate blogger.
Tuesday Jim went mountain biking and me and Emily joined him and ran on the trails and this trail named Evolution is so pretty and it's like art because there are so many man made features and Jim rides on them and it blows my mind and he's brave.
Wednesday the forecast said it was supposed to sunny up at Baker, but I didn't realize that it has been snowing all over Baker but we drove up there and roads were closed so we decided on this trail, Skyline Divide.
I didn't know if my car would make it, but the Mazda CX9 is a dream and it didn't even bat an eye at the snow.
The trails were equally as snow packed but it made it such a pretty surprise of a wonderland.
We made it to the top within our one point five hour turnaround time. The trail continues on the ridgeline for a few miles, but it was too sketchy plus we were out of time, but going down the mountain was so dang fun and I was smiling and giggling and we made it down in half an hour by skating on our feet so fast and I fell once but it didn't even matter.
Thursday I subbed for Mr. Higgins, Avery's math teacher. It was fine, but also Middle School aye. Whenever I have a not great day subbing, I think and think about how/what I could do better.
On the way home there was a train and we were stopped forever so Avery got out her clarinet and Evan played two notes back and forth and he kept saying "oooh what a beautiful song!" and it really was a lovely sound, which is not always the case on the drive home after a long day of subbing with a thousand loud kids packed into a classroom.
Friday I got to go mountain biking with Jim, which is currently my favorite thing to do.
We stop at the gas station and get a drink before we go.
I took this dumb picture of our feet because we both happened to be wearing brand new shoes and they got muddy fourty minutes after I took this picture.
Joe gifted those shoes to Jim. They are discontinued and impossible to find and Joe found them in this little shop in Canada somewhere.
Jim "gifted" my shoes to me.
This month Jim bid reserve, so we make sure and pack his uniform and flight gear into the car so that if he did get called in to work, we would be ready.
It's pretty up there in the mountain. There's a deer in there somewhere.
I'm typing so fast.
This is my favorite story and to make sure you understand it fully, I post to you this picture from this book (Dogman: Lord of the Fleas) that Andrew reads over and over.
The other day Andrew was trying to tell me something, but so were all three kids, so join the club, and I couldn't really give him all my attention and he was getting frustrated, so finally he said:
"Chapter Two: Andrew's Story (with many interruptions from Kelli).
I cracked up and then I gave him my full attention.
Saturday we had all three games at the exact same time, so Jim bounced back and forth between the boys' games (I had to get that apostrophe right even though I am flying across the keyboard and disregarding many other grammar/run on sentence rules - but I love a properly placed apostrophe)...
and Avery had such a good game. She marched the ball down line and passed it into her teammates and I'm so proud of her.
I snagged this picture from some mom on FB.
Right after the games, we headed over to the pumpkin patch.
The Blacks were there. We planned it that way.
So get ready for this time stamp.
Remember three years ago 2016 when we came to this pumpkin patch?
Look how little.
And this time stamp to compare to 2016:
I remember Andrew was so grumpy that day.
There's always a child who gets mad about standing next to the giant ruler.
Ok. That's pretty much what I had written. I'm not even going to go back over it. I'm just going to publish.
I'll probably edit it tomorrow.
If I'm being honest.
But I also have to give a talk Sunday, so really I should be wasting my time planning that instead.
